We’ve moved to a new, more powerful server in the cloud

The continuos increase of traffic on Konkuri has requested a more powerful server. That’s why recently we moved Konkuri to Amazon’s cloud computing platform.

The new server will allow us to scale the performance in real time according to the traffic. This means no more time-outs and a stable and secure service for you all.

Help us going to the Silicon Valley!

The Mind the Bridge Venture Camp 2010 is over. We pitched in front of a big audience and the first feedbacks are very encouraging.

Now in a couple of weeks, the MtB Selection Committee will choose the 7 startups (out of 15) that will go to the Silicon Valley Mtb Gym! Please, vote for Konkuri and help us win the competition!

It would be a great opportunity for us to learn from the best ones and to transfer this knowledge into Konkuri.

Konkuri wins the Mind the Bridge selection

We’re very proud to announce that Mind the Bridge has selected Konkuri as one of the 30 top projects that will be admitted to the Mind the Bridge BootCamp!
The BootCamp will be coordinated by Charles Versaggi from Silicon Valley and will be an opportunity to meet investors and entrepreneurs that will help us improving our business idea.

Search for your tournament!

As you might have noticed, we’ve added the search tournament feature: this will allow you to find a competition by city, sport or name.

Select your location and the list will show all the tournaments near you within a certain distance. Then, you can change the distance radius or sort tournaments by date of creation. You can do the same with the sport parameter.

This feature will help users to find the tournaments they’re looking for. On the other side, it’s a great tool to give more visibility to your competition!

Various bugsfixes

The following issues have been fixed in this release:

  • Solved problem with set results saving;
  • Post title maximum length brought up to 200 charachters;
  • Registration allowed also to mail servers with highly restrictive policies.

Fixed bugs: registration e-mail + home/away

During these days, we’re fixing some bugs that have been reported. The two most important were:

  • The 30 characters limit in the registration email that has caused problems to some users. Now, you can use email addresses up to 75 characters long, which should be enough;
  • The home/away distribution when generating the schedule. Now they’re perfectly balanced (same number of home/away) and alternated (never more than 2 home or 2 away following).
